LuxVerbi.BM
LuxVerbi.BM is an offshoot of the oldest South African publisher and retailer
specialising in products for Christians. About 74 percent of South Africans
regard themselves as Christians. LuxVerbi.BM wants to serve this community.
They believe Christians can play an important role in rebuilding and developing
South Africa, and are thus keen to make the necessary resources available.
LuxVerbi.BM also sees itself as an ally of churches in providing counselling
and support for their members, and thus tries to provide for the wide
range of needs of Christians of all ages. LuxVerbi.BM's customer focus
and commitment to excellence are some of the reasons turnover has increased
annually since 1996. Ongoing restructuring over the past three years has
resulted in the following growth areas:
LuxVerbi.BM has increased its product range and currently publishes
under the following six imprints: LuxVerbi.BM, Bybelkor, NG Kerk-Uitgewers,
Protea, Hugenote and Waterkant.
- To keep abreast with the lifestyles of customers, LuxVerbi.BM has, in conjunction with other partners, launched an extensive Internet service for Christians: www.christians.co.za and www.christene.co.za. These sites provide quality spiritual products, spiritual counselling, book discussions, community news, assistance with sermons, etc.
- The INTERNATIONAL BOOK DIVISION (IBD) has obtained the rights to distribute the products of 26 international publishers' products in Southern Africa.
Stephan Spies is the managing director of LuxVerbi.BM, which comprises six business units.
